I didn’t care for the watercolor / painterly look of my last attempt at figuring out my artistic style so decided to just something very simple with a more hand drawn look using dark outlines and color. Still not “there” yet. But it’s all about experimentation at this point.
I redrew the fireflies from their previous state of “meh” and added a lot more detail and personality to them. See the two images below. Some were drawn with less detail because they are supposed to appear further away. I then did a quick print design (above), “Don’t Be Afraid to Shine.”
