Not much to say…just admiring one of my favorite native flowers that I grow in my garden, the Common Blue Violet (Viola sororia). I have been planting them from seeds I gather for few years. They mostly grow wild in my yard, so I move them whenever I can if they’re growing in a place they aren’t likely to survive.

Some of my flower beds are now completely covered with these lovelies. Since they only grow a few inches tall they make a wonderful natural ground cover. They also bloom twice a year – in the early spring and then again in the late summer / early fall.
