I haven’t really talked about the actual story of “The Magic Hour” – what happens, what are the main scenes and characters, etc. But suffice it to say, as you can see from my recent posts…dragonflies and fireflies play a major role in the story.

For this design I used some of the leaves I used previously in a repeat pattern. The fireflies were created both in Procreate and brought into Illustrator and vectorized, or rough pencil sketches were brought in and drawn directly in Illustrator.

I think it’s easy to see which one is which. The biggest firefly was drawn in Procreate. The other ones were sketched in Procreate. The sketches were brought into Illustrator and I drew them directly in Illustrator.
