My Progress: February – August

I realized the other day I forgot to show my progress from taking the Immersion course and learning Illustrator, as well as pattern design. I thought it would be nice to show the “before and after” in one place. 

Vector Motifs

March: The first motifs I drew on paper or Procreate and vectorized in Illustrator.
March: The first vector art where I attempted to add texture to my work.
May: Vector art I drew in Procreate as well as directly in Illustrator
May: Vector art I drew in Procreate as well as directly in Illustrator

Repeat Patterns

March: One of the first repeat patterns I created. It's not bad and I actually like it.
March: Not a complicated pattern, but one of my favorites from the course.
May: Another early pattern. It's not my favorite but it definitely shows I can create a seamless repeat that's a bit more complex using several motifs.
May: One of the last patterns I created in Immersion. It is one of my favorites.
